IIT-JAM exam preparation comprises of two steps
1. Concept learning
2. Problem solving
Make sure you give time to both the steps.
Without learning & understanding the concepts don't try to solve PYQ's directly.
A good question of IIT-JAM Test Series is framed to be solved in 3 to 5 minutes.If it takes time to solve a question of IIT-JAM Test Series, then you are solving it in a wrong way.
In IIT-JAM exam paper the time limit is only 3 hours. Make sure you always solve the questions within a limited time while practicing PYQs
Revise the concept timely, Study everyday regularly and make short notes, revise them continuously. Most of the students in Nov-December forget about what they have learned in July-August.
Try to solve all the questions while preparing any topic. Do ask yourself about the questions "What", "How", and "Why" and see the improvement.
The questions can be solved easily by knowing these three things initially which will eventually help you remember for a long time.
Keep an eye on your score in every model test papers and compare your performance periodically to see how you improve.
Don't panic with the marks you obtain rather concern with self-analysis and self-improvement on each and every test paper you are going to attempt.
For example, student never scored well in the NUMERICAL ANSWER TYPE questions in one of the mock test, so while attempting another mock test, extra concentration and alert is required to solve NAT.
Doubt clarification is most important to get confidence. Always use standard books, prefer group study, discuss your doubts with teachers, classmates and seniors, and never leave your doubts unclarified.
Don't waste even a single minute because every minute counts. Study daily, even if you have only15 minutes, dedicate it to mug up some formulas or solving MCQs.
Students should be consistent in preparation after attempting IIT-JAM Test series.
Never stop preparing after IIT-JAM exam because most of the PSUs exams are conducted between march to July if you are interested in PSUs.
Read the question atleast twice before attempting any question. Always pay attention while reading the questions, pay attention to words like "or" , "not", "none", "none of these" , "wrong". Sometimes you make mistakes even if you know the answers.
Remember “success may have different paths, but there are no short cuts ". Try hard to secure good rank.
Sincerity dedication and focused study will work in IIT-JAM exams, solve as many questions as you can, invest as many hours as you can and you will surely get a good rank.
