Kalpataru is a socio cultural organisation founded by Kathak Exponent Ms Sangita Chatterjee.
"Back to Roots" is an annual summer workshop conducted by Kalpataru aiming to connect our children to the rich cultural heritage of our country.We strongly believe if our children are proud of India and its cultural heritage today they will be the pride of India tomorrow.
In the workshop we will introduce them to varied array of Indian art and aesthetics from Indian Classical Dance Kathak,Madhubani & worli Painting,Indian Theater,Story Telling Sessions from Panchatantra & Mythology,Yoga etc.
This is a two week program from Mon - Fri ,2 session a day.
End of the program the students will make a short video of their learning which will be uploaded on your youtube channel.
Kalpataru has taken the initiative of "No Child Goes Hungry Campaign" keeping in mind the current crisis of Covid19 & Amphan which has affected thousands of children who are shelterless & foodless.
